indeed pop the question to Kim last week while the couple was vacationing at Montana ski resort
Moonlight Basin. This had been expected for some time, but in a surprise twist, Kim actually
said “Yes”.
The news shocked Las Vegas bookies as much as it did the public at large. Some odds makers
had been offering 300-1 odds as late as last week (meaning a $1 bet paid $300) against Kim
saying “yes”. Vegas odds makers had other action against Kim saying “yes” including 7-5 odds
that she would fall into uncontrollable laughter, and 2-1 odds that should would kick him in the
groin.
Friends and family were as shocked as Las Vegas at this surprise outcome. “What the hell was
she thinking?” expressed a concerned friend of Kim’s. “Can you imagine living with that Jackass
for the rest of your life? I would rather beat myself in the head with a stapler then spend 5
minutes with that guy”
Even friends and family of Byron’s were surprised by the news of Kim’s answer. “For the last
year and a half, we have been trying to figure out what the hell she is doing with him” said visibly
stunned sibling Valisa Smith “We all figured she would dump his sorry ass any day now. I have
no idea how he pulled this one off but it was some kind of trick no doubt”
Jedi Mind Trick Suspected
There have been unconfirmed rumors that Byron may have employed the use of the “Jedi Mind
Trick” made famous by Obi Wan Kenobi in the 1977 movie “Star Wars”. When asked, Kim
strongly denied any influence of mind tricks on her decision to marry Byron. When asked why
she would possibly agree to Byron’s proposal she replied by mumbling something about “these
aren’t the droids we are looking for….”
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have opened up an informal investigation into
the issue. High level officials at the FBI are quoted as saying “The evidence clearly points to
some kind of mind trick, possibly Jedi in nature.”

A spokesperson for the couple announced that a wedding date has not been made and asked
friends and family to please “Stop bugging them about a date! Like they won’t tell you the
moment they get that figured out!” The spokesperson continued to answer questions at one
point replying to repeated questions from reporters “How the hell should I know why she would
marry Byron?”
